Dorrie regularly exhibited in galleries, for example the Walker Gallery London, and retail outlets when following the Shakespeare season in Stratford-upon-Avon when she rented out part of the Spinning Wheel shop.
She exhibited in the Walkers Gallery alongside other female artists from 1935 - 1939. The artists exhibiting with her included Lady Gertrude Crawford, Lady Coryndon, Mary Ireland the originator of fabric mosaics, Dorothea Richardson, miniature model birds. Greta Lisa De Snellman-Jaderholm, pottery and glass (Finland) ; Amy Bond, trees sketched with a needle and Cssa. Lisa Sarfatti Scopoli, (Marlisa) new floral lighting effects.
